Being that we were “shut in” this week with a summer bug, we had to do something…quick! The kids were going bonkers and this momma was about to lose her mind, more than normal of course! I had this grand idea to get out the laminator and turn our “sick day” into a “game assembly” day!
That’s right…I’m one of “those” mommas. I let the kids use the laminator. With some safety rules first!
The kids were so thrilled. Literally. Is it possible they’ve inherited a little bit of my sickness called “a love for organizing and crafting?” They were seriously more excited about making the games than actually playing them.
My 3rd child kept saying, “It’s like we are working in a factory!”
I also heard one of them say, “It’s an assembly line!”
Followed up with…”Make it quick, we have lots of work to do!”
I get all of my games from TPT freebies, I then print and laminate! We have collected a TON of dollar store dice, manipulatives and counters that we use as game pieces…hours of fun!
Here’s the laminator that my hubby surprised me with because he knows the way to my heart…crafts and Oreos, but the latter didn’t apply here. The deal he got on Amazon was fabulous because it also came with 100 thermal laminating pouches!
Here are the kids playing some of the games…
This was our “when life hands you lemons” moment. We turned to the laminator to inspire creativity and happy memories!
