I think it’s so cute how excited children get when it’s time to see if the groundhog sees his shadow. I have to admit, when I was a child, it was definitely a highlight of wintertime! This Groundhog Day Roll and Graph Math Activity is a fun math activity that I know your students are going to love!
Groundhog Day Roll and Graph Math Activity
This activity is suitable for Preschool and Kindergarten students. What’s extra great about this math center is children will work on graphing skills while also practicing shapes at the same time, as each groundhog is one of six most common shapes!
This activity can be used with one student or pair students up for partner work.
When children work in pairs they can turn this activity into a race to see which groundhog wins first!
This printable roll and graph activity is complete with recording sheet, printable dice and printable picture cards for pocket dice if you are so lucky to have them!
