“I have ad match items at the back.” Gasp. Breathe. It will be okay. Your life will not curtail while you wait for me to pay for my “price match” items and redeem my coupons. Thank you, in advance if you are ever behind me at the checkout stand.
That’s right! I’m one of “those” shoppers. We are a proud, single income family, striving to be good stewards of our money, food, and necessities of life. I have secret envy of those who can stick to their grocery budget. It is SO hard! How do they do it?! On my quest to be one of them, I have taken up ad matching at Wal-Mart, as well as electronic coupon clipping, old-fashioned scissors-to-paper coupon clipping, as well as earning points toward gift cards and earning $$$ for shopping. Guess what? You CAN earn $$$ for shopping and purchasing the things that you ALREADY buy! It’s genius. I will admit, I wish I was the brains behind these “million dollar” ideas but alas, I am not. I just get to write about those who do.
Let me start off by saying I am in the beginning phases of using these methods of earning gift cards and money for shopping. However, for months I have “followed” other moms who use these methods with success!
- By using PINCHME you are able to earn points by trying FREE products. After earning points, you have the opportunity to win over $1500 a month in prizes!
- I’ve also started using this lovely little app on my phone called IBOTTA to earn money for items already on my shopping list. Your money is simply transferred to your PayPal account. If you don’t already have one, it takes 2 minutes to create one. Simple!
Does saving money take time and commitment? Absolutely!
I spend about 20 minutes every Sunday morning completing my “ad-matching list” while also making my grocery shopping list. I then spend less than 10 minutes a day clipping coupons (digitally or paper-based). I also use apps on my phone for other local deals. It’s worth every second.
I am looking forward to learning more about drugstore shopping and how to get freebies and stocking up on good deals! Look for that blog post in the near future!
Happy Clipping!
