Last fall it exploded pumpkin in my house. I rediscovered Pinterest and a slew of yummy pumpkin baking recipes!
You see… in the desert when fall hits, we don’t see it. Fall in the desert starts somewhere around midnight during the last week of November. So, us desert folk are a little jealous of those back east. Well…not entirely. We don’t want to be shoveling snow by the end of September, but we are jealous of not having true “seasons.” So, in September we march ourselves to the store, wearing shorts and a tank top, and load up on fall items to convince ourselves that fall has, indeed arrived. We buy things like pumpkin spice candles, leaf scented plug ins, and fall décor. We especially like those fake leaves that we toss all around every shelf in our home surrounding all of our “nick-nacky” fall stuff. Remember, we don’t see real leaves dropping until late November.
What I decided to do to help me get through missing my favorite season of fall was… buy a truck load of pumpkin baking ingredients!
Do you have any pumpkin baking favorites? I’d love to hear about it! Feel free to post in comments or in an email!
Happy baking!
